Fresh Orange Muffin

Quick and easy recipe to put together with ingredients you probably have on hand, these orange muffins are light, delicious and great with breakfast or a cup of tea.




Recipe: Orange Muffin
Type: Dessert

Cooking time: 20 mins
Total time: 30 mins
Serves: 15 to 16 muffin

Dry Ingredients:
  • All-purpose flour - 2 cup
  • Orange - 2 to 3 (for zest and juice)
  • Orange zest - 2 tbsp
  • Baking powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Salt -1/2 Tsp
  • White granulated sugar - 1 cup
Wet Ingredients:
  • Vegetable oil - 1/3 cup
  • Orange juice - 1/2 cup
  • Milk - 1/2 cup
  • Egg - 1 
Preparation:
  • Line muffin tray with cup linear and set aside. Preheat the oven to 400 F for 10 -12 mins.
  • Mix orange zest and orange juice in mixing bowl.
  • Mix milk and egg together in measuring cup and add to bowl. Then add flour, sugar, baking powder and salt mix everything together.
  • Then add the remaining vegetable oil. Stir to combine.
  • Fill muffin cups about 3/4 full. Bake in preheated oven for 18 minutes.
  • Test for with a toothpick for doneness. Let muffins stay in pan for 5 minutes before removing to cool on a rack.



Note:
  • All ingredients should be at room temperature for good results.
  • Use appropriate measurement cups for good results. The measurement cups I use here are US standard measurement.
  • Baking for exact 18 min is enough to give the perfect color and best result.
